Bargach Foundation is a non-profit organisation working with rural and semi-urban communities to create access to education, digital skills, livelihoods, safe drinking water and sustainable opportunities.
Established in 2020, Bargach Foundation is a registered non-profit organisation dedicated to creating sustainable social impact among underserved communities.
Our work has grown around some of the most practical challenges faced by rural and semi-urban communities — limited access to learning opportunities, digital resources, employable skills, safe drinking water and sanitation.
We believe these challenges are deeply connected.
A child needs the right environment to learn.
A young person needs the right skills to find opportunity.
A family needs access to safe water to live healthier lives.
A community needs access to knowledge and technology to participate in a changing world.
Our programmes therefore bring together education, digital literacy, skill development, livelihood enhancement, safe drinking water and WASH to address these needs at the community level.
Today, Bargach Foundation works across West Bengal, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh, creating initiatives designed to improve quality of life and strengthen opportunities for people who need them most.
Creating pathways to knowledge,
skills, health & self-reliance.
For many underserved communities, everyday barriers can make it difficult to access the opportunities that others may take for granted.
We work to address these challenges through practical, community-focused initiatives.
Our aim is not simply to provide short-term assistance.
It is to create pathways towards knowledge, skills, health, dignity, employment and self-reliance.
We envision communities where people have the resources, knowledge and opportunities needed to shape their own futures.
By empowering communities through education, livelihood opportunities, clean water and responsible development.
This vision reflects the Foundation's commitment to community empowerment, sustainable development and responsible action.
To improve lives by promoting sustainable development, strengthening livelihoods, expanding access to safe drinking water and sanitation, and creating opportunities for youth through skill development.
Our mission comes to life through programmes focused on education, digital literacy, employability, livelihoods, water, sanitation and community awareness.
We work to improve access to safe drinking water while promoting awareness around sanitation, hygiene and responsible water practices.
Through child-focused initiatives such as Alokodoy, we support children from underserved communities with learning opportunities and educational resources.
Our Community IT Centres create opportunities for marginalised community members to learn technology and develop digital skills.
We help youth develop practical, professional and employment-oriented skills that can contribute to greater financial independence.
These focus areas reflect the Foundation's stated work around safe drinking water, sanitation, skill development and youth empowerment.
